Grove Rotary Projector Information

Please contact Ron Walters in advance of the meeting if the projector and/or screen are required.

The large screen projector that the Grove Rotary owns can be used to connect the following devices to it, with the output image projected on the large 100" screen:

Windows Laptop or Desktop PC with the 'blue end' VGA cable
DVD player with the 'yellow end' video cable or the S-video cable
VCR player with the 'yellow end' video cable or the S-video cable, if the VCR has a video output, other than the coax output, on the back of the VCR
TV set with the 'yellow end' video cable or the S-video cable, if the TV has a video output on the back of the TV
If using a Macintosh or other Apple product, you must provide an adapter cable that will covert the Apple video output to VGA, S-Video, or RCA-Video.

What about sound?  There is a very small speaker in the projector that is unsatisfactory for a large room.

If sound is required from a PC, you should bring the PC speakers and cables with the PC.
If sound is required from the DVD or VCR player, you should bring separate speakers, an amplifier, and cables.
If sound is required from the TV set, you probably do not need any additional speakers, although it may depend upon the type of TV set.

What about cables?  All video cables are include in the projector case.  Note, you should bring the 'white end' and 'red end' audio cables with the DVD or VCR, regardless if you are going to use sound or not.  Some DVD and VCR players will not output the video signal unless the audio cables are plugged in, also.  If using a Macintosh or other Apple product, you must provide an adapter cable that will covert the Apple video output to VGA, S-Video, or RCA-Video.
